As you all know, the hyperspace drive used in Elite:Dangerous is a type of Alcubierre drive. Recently at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Propulsion and Energy Forum Joseph Agnew – an undergraduate engineer and research assistant from the University of Alabama in Huntsville's Propulsion Research Center gave a presentation on the Alcubierre drive. Thought some folks here might be interested in the article about it: https://www.sciencealert.com/scientists-are-starting-to-take-warp-drives-seriously-especially-this-one-concept I thought it was very interesting!
