    Next update will be Fleet Carriers (Q2 2020). However, Galnet News, Interstellar Initiatives and Community Goals, will NOT be returning when Fleet Carriers update arrives.

    Hey rootsrat, thanks for asking.

    As mentioned in the post that you linked to "We are now planning for Fleet Carriers to be released in an update in the second quarter of 2020". Now that we are just about to start entering that second quarter, the next update is going to include Fleet Carriers, which we expect to have more news about very soon. I can also confirm that this is not mutually exclusive from the other development work going into the update which will include some bug fixes. It is always more efficient to combine content and fixes into a single update, in order to reduce the time spent preparing and deploying those releases.

    Can you answer yet whether some or all of Galnet News Articles, Community Goals, and Interstellar Initiatives, are (not) returning alongside Fleet Carriers?

    There are no plans on returning Galnet News Articles, Community Goals, and Interstellar Initiatives at this time. If this does change we will let you know.

    The Interstellar Survey Ship Sheer Audacity prepares to leave the bubble.

    Today marks the beginning of my second extra-bubble expedition. I am christening my new ship with a circumnavigation of Sol, a beautiful world I have never set foot upon.

    My previous expedition to Sagittarius A and Colonia in a stock Asp Explorer has taught me a lot of what I wanted in an exploration ship, and I am hoping the extra creature comforts on the Orca will help to combat the loneliness of deep space. I know the zero gravity hot tub in the back is a lot of extra weight, but a commander has needs.

    I hope to share some great sights with you all in the coming days!

    As an aside: I've only been playing for a few months, and geez is this game fun!
