    I've played video games since the 80's but this is the first game I've ever started and thought - shit, I'm.out of my depth here.

    I've just finished the first tutorial and been let loose in my own little ship and..........have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to be doing.

    Its slightly intimidating but also a little exhilarating, I'm used to games holding your hand and guiding you through the first few hours and here I literally have the universe in front of me.

    It reminds me of when I first passed my driving test and was sat looking at an AA map thinking right then, where am I heading off to!

    Edit: Thank you all for the advice, its great to find such a helpful and welcoming community - especially coming off of the back of CoD and the levels of toxicity you find there. I cant wait to get stuck in and start exploring.

    ...and I've got to say, it's been an absolute blast, landing on planets and setting a new home base has been loads of fun and I can't wait to do more exploring and missions. To the fuel rats, thank you so much for being so kind and helpful. You taught me shit I didn't know and got me out of a bit of a tricky situation as I'm sure you have with many CMDR's before me! Please keep doing god's work!

    But yeah, that's it, just wanted to do something to remind me of this down the line
