    I did my first on-foot assassination mission last night. Flew to some Hoth type ice planet, found the guy cowering under his crashed Eagle. Shot him right in the head. Watched the sunrise, flew off the planet.

    I really, really enjoyed that. Basically I am the Mandalorian.

    The fastest possible way to gain federation rank right now is by rescuing passengers for the federal factions in the damaged stations in the Cornsar system and taking reputation as the reward.

    As an additional bonus, if you first pick up basic medicines specifically from the megaship Heart of Taurus in the Pegasi Sector ON-S b4-8 system, you may likely get a new engineered gauss cannon from Salvation. Gauss is hands down the meta weapon for fighting interceptors so you do NOT want to miss out on this gear. Unlike the CG's no minimum number has yet been set on the rewards.

    So grab a few basic medicines (really advanced ax gear from salvation disguised as med supplies) from Heart of Taurus, then drop them off at one of the rescue ships right next to the damaged statins. And unless they say differently, you'll get the new gear!
