    R.I.P. CMDR IMIC23

    My good friend and companion through the expanse of space who introduced me to Elite Dangerous has passed on into the void last night. I can only keep going towards our goals in remembrance.

    A MSgt with aspirations of finalizing his pilot's license and so much more, he loved flying and space simulation games. His humor and steel resolve will be sorely missed.

    Ride on, CMDR, I'll see you on the other side.

    I recently subscriebed a mission to found 4 containers with alcohol. After landing to target planet I found a lot of different containers (about 1000) mostly with alcohol, uranium, palladium and industrial goods. Unfortunately my comp had freezed and when I re-entered to the game all containers were lost. I've never seen so much stuff before. And I do not know is it a bug in game or it's common thing in game. I'm in game ~400 hours only

    Neutron jet supercruise movement mechanics?

    Does fighting the turbulence actually make a difference? After many tens of thousands of light years jumped by neutron boosts, it seems to me like your supercruise trajectory is "locked" on entry to the neutron star — so you travel in a straight line, regardless of where you're facing. So you can just release the controls and you'll end up wherever you were pointing.

    One reason I think this is because I watched my partner in a neutron jet— the turbulence span her around until she was facing the jet, but I saw her continuing to move away from the star. Even though she was facing towards it.

    So either the jet pushes you away really hard, so you can't hit the core and die unless you enter up close to it. OR her trajectory was "locked" after entry to the jet, which is why she kept moving away from the star, even when facing it.
