    Unusual one this, wondered why I was getting docking request denied until I realised that there was another station in the same instance 185km away and my request was going there! System is pareco.

    Friendly Reminder - There's a crashed Anaconda site about 400 ly outside the bubble in the system HR 5906 (planet AB 2 A) that's basically like a mini Dav's Hope & more secluded to farm. Has several mats lying around, about 7-10, a data point to scan for some data and a couple of logs with a story.

    Welcoming myself back to Elite after 30 years

    Hello folks

    Just wanted to say hi to everyone and how happy i am to be back playing Elite after spending many, many hours on my father's Amstrad PC1640 (20MB HDD wooo, EGA graphics ooohhhh), reaching the level of Deadly before i got stuck in an infinite loop around the 7th universe and a star system that i had hyperspaced into, supernova'd before i could escape (which was a shame..). Still fondly remember The Dark Wheel as essential boy reading, whilst waiting for the 51/4 disk to load.

    I am playing this on a PS4 which feels more difficult for a standard KBM user but i should be able to navigate around flying/maneuvering. Other than that, the radar was identical to the old game so easy to follow stuff around, but oh so many options and changes to the game... going to spend a lot of time getting to grips with it again.

    Any helpful hints/tips i should know about ?

    Oh and got the CMDR's licence after crashing into the demo structures a few times / learning how the sidewinder handles..

    Edit: mm i may have made a booboo and ordered the Elite: Dangerous without the Horizons exp pack..

    Edit 3: if you can also point out the online aspects of it and whether cross-play online is there (PS4 with PC players etc.) and where do you locate peeps ?

    Request: SLMs - Ship Launched Miners / Multicrew

    Frontier,

    This may have been requested before; if not, consider this a request...if so, consider it a request to reconsider:

    Please give us some original SLM craft, or some Taipan/Fed/Imp variants of SLFs that are equipped with mining lasers. I'd love to go multi-crew with my son, launch from his Type-9 in a SLM, and whip around asteroids mining as his ships does the prospecting and collecting. It would re-invigorate multi-crew, a feature that seemed to peak after one month and then fade away, and would remind you that we need variants of the SLFs and SRVs, please.

    For those that play solo, please give basic, surface mining AI to crew in these types of SLM craft...thanks.
