Posted: 07 Jan 2020 02:34 PM PST But I just found that the fuel rats slogan, "we have fuel, you don't, any questions" is on the ad panels inside the hangers at a station. Idk.. I just found it cool [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Jan 2020 11:10 AM PST Background: Professor Pailin has been working on a experimental jump drive component with salvaged thagroid ship fragments. These devices are able to cover incredible distances, almost anywhere in the galaxy, but are completely unstable and can not be controlled where you will leave whichspace. They also always fuse after a successful jump rendering them a single use module. The professor is calling on skilled explorers to test these modules and report back with all the data from the jumps so his research can continue. Warning: experienced explorers only, with properly provisioned ships only need apply. These devices can send you almost anywhere in the galaxy, so prepare for a long trip back. TLDR/Info: Engineer quest that lets you build a module for a single use random jump into the black. Random placement makes you chart a route back to habitable space. So random that occasionally it may even be a suicide mission where you can't get back, but that's the chance you take. [link] [comments]

Just wanna say, Fuel Rats - you guys are the shit. Posted: 07 Jan 2020 12:13 AM PST Honestly the most impressive operation I've seen in a mmo like this. Smooth start to finish. Waited maybe 10 mins for them to find me floating in the middle of deep space. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Jan 2020 08:53 AM PST Add a search function in the key bindings screen under the options. I think I have spent hours looking for one esoteric key binding or another. Usually the one you are trying to find is buried in a category that doesn't quite make sense. [link] [comments]

Posted: 07 Jan 2020 04:44 AM PST OK, so... I'm extremely interested in hearing why this feature is such a highly requested one for a game that's basically a sim. I'm not here to bash either sides of the arguments but instead actually interested in what is it about spacelegs that makes you want it so much. For example - I personally can't see any benefit of it except for the pure novelty and the "cool" factor if implemented in what the game currently offers. I've read numerous times stuff like: - I want to walk around my ship; Sure, very cool feature but with no gameplay value on its own Everything apart that will require new assets and features that might/might-not get implemented at the time of release. Like walking in stations - also very cool in theory but it would need some kind of actual gameplay loop. Maybe fetching new type of missions (since we can grab those from the station UI anyway)? Maybe a "personal" or a "Squadron"-wide area like an apartment or a lounge where you can hang around with other people... (and booooy would that be a new milking cow for cosmetics)? What I find interesting is the simple fact there can be so much more stuff done to the core of the game to make it better than simply enabling "spacelegs" that would benefit it much more than a walking simulator.
