I was just randomly exploring, scanning systems etc, decided to go to that nebula on at the bottom, it was an awe-inspiring experience!

Just wanted to show my appreciation for this game :) saying how much mileage I have got and I am nowhere near done.

Altogether I estimate through testing alpha/beta and playing release I must have at least 6000 hrs in this game.

People say it's a mile wide and an inch deep.

I do find myself taking long breaks. Sometimes for months. However every time I come back I find something new and am reminded how cool it is.

Whether it's a new kind of station in an asteroid, alien or planetary phenomenon, new mission type or some new goal to strive for I always find something new and that's just in solo.

Given all my years on one character I'm still not Elite in any class. Close but not Elite.

Am still far short of visiting all the points of interest and doing all the activities, solving the puzzles and uncovering the secrets this game offers.

After all this time I haven't even been to Colonia or used a neutron star to jump.

In fact I've only just got interested enough in exploration to really start building a ship from a shell and adding the lightest parts, engineering my drive etc and looking at the neutron highway to get maximum jump distance.

Elite is the gift that keeps on giving, and all in VR too.

I can't wait for the next big update, for me personally I think I enjoy Elite more than any game I've played since starting PC gaming in the late 80's lol.

A game I've played now for several years and am still finding new challenges, not many single player games can make this claim ;)
