Me and my brother are sitting here discussing how much stuff is really worth in the elite universe... based on a burger.

Looked up on ED finder the price of animal meat and grain to determine the cost of materials in a burger, vs the real world cost of meat and buns. We then compared that to the price of a McDonalds quarter pounder to determine the cost of materials vs the cost of a finished good.

Based on what we can figure using highly scientific methodology (arguing) we have come.to an agreement that a single space credit is equal to approximately 54.89 USD

So with that as a baseline here we go:

    Loitering over docking bay: $16,467

    Sidewinder : $1,756,480

    AspX : $365,630,688.17

    Python : $3,127,532,300.20

    Anaconda : $8,067,153,110.50

    Fleet carrier : $274,450,000,000

    Real world items to credits:

    quarter pounder : 0.09 cred

    Chevy spark : 256 cred

    Chevy corvette: 1029 cred

    Bugatti Chiron : 54,565 cred

Space x Rocket (single launch) 1,127,682 cred

    Super Tanker ship: 2,109,856 cred

    Boeing 777 : 5,823,935 cred

    US Debt: 477,574,208,803 cred

This game is amazing, I studied this planet for the university a few years ago.

I am an enviromental sciences graduate, I studied Kepler 7b for the climate change subject and it was a really interesting project, I remember being fascinated by it and I though... why not pay a visit in elite? I wasn't even expecting the real data to match, I just wanted to see it as I enjoyed reading all the desciptions the NASA did and I spent time learning about this fascinating celestial body.
But to my greatest surprise almost all the data matches reality, tidal lock, size, temperature, even the orbital period and the colours as its described!
It may sound stupid but this little thing made me really happy and love this game a bit more, may it have been just pure luck in the random generation or frontier adding some real data, I was able to go and see something I never though I could experience myself, this game sometimes really feels awesome.
I just wanted to share this little story of mine with you CMDRs, stay safe in the darkness out there!
