- It's been a long journey. o7
- Off-and-on playing for a few years and just made it to Triple Elite (1900 hours). Now my goal is to unlock Guardian stuff and finally kill a real Thargoid instead of Scouts
- That's an interesting... request?
- On my first expedition to a few nebulas and then Colonia on my new DBX after playing for a month. Small steps today with a final stop at Hillary Depot. See you all out there in the black, CMDR O7
- Planet Fog...
- Anyone else really wish they'd change the top Imperial Navy rank to something other than "King"?
- Think that my first thargoid kill is worthy of celebration!
- If some twat hadn't ganked me at Farseer Inc., I would have never seen my first white dwarf today. Let's jet-cone the fk back to Vaka
- I may finally bask in Imperial glory after having to enslave myself to the empire to get this
- Shoutout to the DSSA!

- When supercruise assist thinks it's also a docking computer
- Nice coincidence on the sub
- Why should beginners even play open?
- Sometimes you can loose the sense of scale in Elite. Here's a Civilian Installation in the Colonia bubble with a docked Hauler.
- Text resolution on LG OLD CX before and after switching from fullscreen to windowed on secondary monitor, dragged back to LG and switched back to full screen. Text was actually downscaled not upscaled. Nothing worked to fix the text issue so I tried fullscreen to windowed and back as last resort.

Anyone else really wish they'd change the top Imperial Navy rank to something other than "King"? Posted: 04 Oct 2020 07:20 AM PDT I like most of the Imperial ranks. "Duke" and "Viscount" and "Prince" all sound pretty cool and often make sense when appended in front of your CMDR name. Not only does "Yes, King" sound more like what you'd hear on a bodybuilding forum, but it just sounds super weird that someone would use it to respond to someone in the military. "I'm a King of the Navy" doesn't sound good OR make much sense. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Anyone else agree or have suggestions to what it could be instead? EDIT: After having read replies, I understand the origin and I know it doesn't really have a gameplay implication. That being said, I still wish it were "Senator" or "Legate" for my own mental roleplay instead of thinking "I am one of thousands of Kings in this Navy". [link] [comments]

Why should beginners even play open? Posted: 04 Oct 2020 01:59 PM PDT So I usually play open in hope to get some human interaction. I'm fairly new, so I was trying to unlock Felity Farseer in my Diamondback Explorer. I got my meta alloys and went back to Deciat. Once in the engineers's base a dude in Mamba appeared and erased me in half a second. I had no bounty and cargo except the single meta alloy. I had to redo the half-an-hour trip once again in solo. Why should I even try playing open once again until I have a good PVP ship? [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Oct 2020 10:06 AM PDT The IRC is a multi squadron player group looking to colonise the Cancri Cluster, a section of space secluded 3kly away from the bubble, and only accesible through carriers. We're looking for Squadrons, carrier owners and budding entrepeneures to aid in the goings about in the cluster. Our current economic situation is as an exporter of mined goods the bubble, mainly so that we can create income for upkeep purposes, though additional colonists will increase opportunities for more and more diverse services. Our organisational stucture is entirely democratic, meaning if you were to join the IRC, you would have equal say in what goes on no matter how much wealth you or your squadron may hold, as our main goal in this cluster is to maintain equality and equal opportunity for everyone here. If you have any questions, you can ask in the discord server (link at top) or feel free to DM me (Abel_#4411 on discord) Our end goal is to get at least one permanant station up here, so we need all the traction we can get to make the Cancri Cluster a truly independent region of space (oh, and don't push your Imp or Fed ideals and DEFINITLEY do not bring slaves, thanks :3 ) We hope to see you up here, CMDRS [link] [comments]
