    I boosted up to him, in my Krait, PROUD TO HAVE A WORTHY FOE, i fire my engineered weapons!

    pepples hitting a windshield. nothing happens.

    he immediately stops attacking NPCs... i stow my weapons and try to flee from the combat zone. Anddddddddddddd FSD is dead.

    Powerplant goes offline next.

    2% hull...

    Ka-boom.

    10/10 would fly in open again.

    Just lost about 20 million worth of scan data after being interdicted and it sucks!

    After travelling to and from the Eagle Nebula I scanned everything building up a massive library. Was heading back to the bubble and got interdicted twice then lasered to hell. So I lost all data and to say I'm gutted is an understatement. The combat in this game for defence after being interdicted sucks and at the moment because of that this game also sucks... That is all.

    Edit: Thanks for all the good advice CMDRs! Time to my game.

    Space madness thoughts before going to bed: There should be an Alliance "big" ship alongside the cutter and corvette.

    And the three of them would be balanced between combat, exploration, and trade in a main, secondary, tertiary focus kind of way.

    Corvette remains the combat focus, but then it would be more logical for the Federation to give her good jump range second so that she can easily go around protecting Federation systems. Trade is her least priority.

    Cutter is a status symbol for wealth, so it focuses on trade with her cast cargo hold. [I wish it wouldn't be used to transport human cargo but we all know how the Empire was built]. Of course all those riches she brings must be well protected so she takes combat second priority. And a Duke always comes to the party last so that everyone can see the Cutter in all her glory so jump range is the last in her mind.

    Finally, the Alliance "big" ship, which i have i'd like to assume Lakon would be making it. She will be the new leader in exploration and get the farthest jump range outside of fleet carriers. Secondary focus would go trading as is the ways of Lakon Spaceways, and then combat is last thought of. It's probably a given that Alliance will have a rank system too to compliment the other powers. It can be called the Alliance Cruiser

    And so to summarize, we have:

    Corvette: combat-exploration-trade Cutter: trade-combat-exploration Cruiser: exploration-trade-combat

    And then of course in the middle of the triangle is the Anaconda. The Jack-of-all trades.
