We should be able to swap modules between ships stored at the same location without switching to them Posted: 19 Nov 2020 05:18 AM PST I know I'm probably part of the "1 Percent" of people who has an almost maxed out Module Storage, and 20+ ships all loaded with modules, but this has always been a problem for me since I started collecting so much stuff. ​ It's so damn time consuming to switch to ships to take modules off and on. I wish I could take modules off and on ships without switching to them. ​ I know this would pose a problem with the UI. How I envision this could work, is an optional "right loadout screen" that you can activate that shows beside the existing one on the left of the screen when you outfit. There are left and right allows at the top of both so you can cycle between ships stored at the same station you are outfitting at, and there are big left and right arrows in the middle of the screen between them that you can use to move modules between the left selected ship module slot to the right selected ship module slot. This can work with 2 ships you have stored or your active ship and 1 stored ship. ​ This would be a great QOL upgrade. submitted by /u/teeth_03 [link] [comments]

Unpopular opinion: I think it makes sense that we won't be able to walk around our ship interiors at first. Posted: 19 Nov 2020 08:07 AM PST Elite Dangerous prides itself with trying to be as realistic as possible with a recreation of our galaxy projected in more than a thousand years time. One way we see this is with space stations. The way the stations are designed and spin brings gravity to the people living/working on them, down to the mathematical level. The ships we pilot do not have simulated gravity. This means that if we were to stand up in our ships, we actually would float around, and I don't think anybody would want that sort of gameplay. One solution to this problem would be if our characters wore mag boots of something to that effect. However, it would also mean that the coffee machine in the Krait Mk.II would be physically inaccurate. Perhaps what FDev is thinking in the long run is to only allow walking around our ships on earth-like to high G planets.
