- I'm finally back guys!!! After almost 2 years in the black using my Cobra MKIII on my first exploration journey I'm finally back in the bubble safe and sound. I was just able to buy my nice shiny new Asp-Explorer with all the money I earned, I even spent a little real world cash making it my own!
- Now all I need to do is find a burning planet called Crematoria, or a planet with three suns.
- I really had no idea how much of a trek it would actually be to colonia
- Why does my CMDR always look like she's shocked at everything?
- We are just made up of star stuff

- Roadmap baby!!! Many vague improvements and fixes, starting with the least important ones of course...

| Posted: 05 Jun 2021 03:01 PM PDT Its just not fair for PC players who spent $40 on this broken mess to have to wait ~6 months for the console release to have whatever large update that is planned for that time. The fact that they practically said PC won't be getting anymore updates between Update 5 in a few weeks, and the console release ~6 months from now is just appalling. Odyssey for PC should be priority. What we have now is basically a barebones tech demo of "Space Legs" and needs fleshed out with more content, which is not even getting into the performance issues and bugs. Hell the On Foot engineering is a grindy mess that needs another development pass too. Its also shameful we have to wait over a month to get Sharable missions that were specifically teased in a prerelease gameplay video. I don't even want to hear about the console release until the PC game is actually a game and not a broken laggy tech demo. [link] [comments] | ||

| Console player here. FDev needs to delay console release. Posted: 05 Jun 2021 04:53 AM PDT Latest staements from FDev makes it sound as though they intend to focus on the console release before fixing the many, many, problems Odyssey has. In what world does this make sense? FDev already sold a half baked ALPHA to PC players for full price and instead of trying to make amends to that group they're going to shovel the same shit to a whole new group? I understand most of us console players will be disappointed with a delay, but we also understand that it's preferable to getting this busted expansion. And obviously this isnt just a console player issue. FDev expects PC players, that have already paid full price and accepted the fact they need to wait for a finished and working product, to wait an additional 4-6 months before FDev BEGINS to address Odyssey's issues. All this combined with the vagueness of the roadmap makes it seems as though FDev considers Odyssey a finished product and is hoping that in time we'll just accept it for what it is. I won't buy Odyssey the way it is and if that is how most other console players feel (no idea) then I cant understand the move from a sales perspective.
