The Great Raxxla Potato Hunt has surveyed 50% of systems in the search area!

This project is the first systematic survey of all star systems within 200 ly of Sol. We have now scanned just over half of the 68,000 systems in this area. We've had contributions from 167 unique CMDRs, and have been operating for 85 weeks!

That includes roughly 1700 megaships, 900 eighth moons, 70 capital ships, 55 crashed ships, 35 tourist beacons, 16 listening posts, and 5 unregistered comms beacons.

Let me put some more numbers out there. At this point, there are 33,967 systems remaining. There are about 700 members of the Discord, most of whom are just keeping an eye on things (great!). If each of them scanned 50 systems - or 4 search grids - the survey would be complete. That's a tall ask, I know - but it also shows how much closer we are.

If you've ever considered contributing to the survey - now's the time!
