Huge shoutout to the Fuel Rats Posted: 16 Aug 2021 06:08 PM PDT Earlier today I was making a 380 Ly trip from the star system I was in to Maia for the first engineering mission, and I ran out of fuel with no fuel scoop (new player). Looked up what to do in such a situation and I came across the Fuel rats web sight. Within 15 minutes of sending out my sos, I had a rat out fueling up my ship and giving me advice on acquiring a scoop, and offering to escort me to the nearest station to outfit my adder with it. This is a beautifil sub and I love it Posted: 17 Aug 2021 01:56 AM PDT I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this sub for being active and giving me a way to understand that this game and world it represents means something to some people (well, 302K). I have no-one around me who would be genuinely interested in ED, I`m not talking about playing it with someone, but even talk about or show screenshots of scenery. Yesterday I met with my cousin, we are really close in terms of regular meet-ups and I wanted to share with him my idea of buying some joysticks (second-hand, for 50 USD) to ride my ships like IRL and everything I had as an answer was "I dunno, spending money for some games, meh". That was not the first time he had such reaction. I get it, we are grown-ups, but this is my hobby, at least pretend for a minute that it is interesting to you, because it is interesting to me. What are yours hobbies, sleeping after work? At least my girlfriend shows some interest to it, saying that the graphics is gorgeous. I can`t really talk with my friends about it, they play only CS:GO or LoL and don`t understand any of my preferences in games, like love for diferent simulators. This is the place I can come to and be around a thing I like and be understood. Well, an idea of Reddit, kinda? :)Anyways, for those lurking here - kudos to you and I very grateful that this sub is active and passionate as me about ED, I really appreciate every post about Hutton, gaining Elite or buying an Anaconda.Sorry, if this would be considered as crying, but being understood is a vital for humans, I suppose, and I am not understood by others in terms of ED.
