    SAG*A - Doesn't look as modern image of black holes and it doesn't act as black hole at all. Right now it is even harmless. It would be great to have black holes as very beautiful but very dangerous place, this would make exploring way more interesting because adds some challenge and rewarding views

    Its really sad seeing no news of ships coming with Odyssey, that was one of the things I was most excited for. Id personally love to see some independent faction ships, maybe some junky looking pirate ships. Also some cargo ships with visible cargo on the outside that reflects how much you're actually carrying would be cool. Kinda like the cargo racks hanging under the Rebel Carriers in Star Wars.

    When I arrive in a system I immediately honk with the discovery scanner.

    But do you earn anything doing that if you are not opening the FSS after, and just going to another system?

    Don't know if it is just useless or not.

    I have a eagle with basic burst lasers and a multi cannon basically carrying me from bounty to bounty in High RES locations. I want to get a better bounty ship because so far I'm fighting NPC pirates . What's next ?

    Brand new pilot with a question

    Hey so I'm completely brand new in this game, Have about 300k saved up which feels like a ton of money to me and am still flying the starter Sidewinder with barely any upgrades. I have 16h played, about half of which are afk for various reasons.

    Currently i'm about 4 jumps away from Deacon's Star, I flew out to LTT 8190 because I want to eventually get the Imperial Clipper and 8190 was the closest Empire aligned system I could find on the map. I've been running courier style missions in the area working on my empire rank and havent ranked up yet which is ok but I've heard that I can go to the systems Mainani and Ngallin to farm out my reputation substantially faster than my current pace. The problem I'm having is that those systems are ~220Ly away from my current position and when I try to plot a route to them it says "Route Plotting Failed" every time. I'm wondering how I can fix this as I read online that you should be able to plot routes up to 1000Ly away. Maybe there is a computer I need to upgrade in my ship? Maybe I just straight up need a better ship? I'm not sure.

    Also, I tried doing a combat mission last night to break the monotony because it paid 500k which made my jaw drop (Thats a TON of money to me, double my net worth). It had the recommended rank of Harmless which matched mine so I figured I would give it a shot. My ship is equipped with two gimballed multicannons which say they're doing around 8 DPS. The problem I ran into here was that it takes me around 800 rounds of ammunition to do 10% hull damage on a ship with broken shields. I ended up getting 1 kill before I died which took close to an hour of shooting the guy. Theres no way that's correct, right? I've heard of people killing the largest Thargoid ship in that same amount of time and I was just fighting some petty little NPC in a low intensity combat zone.

    I'm thinking of buying the Imperial Eagle for now because the Sidewinder is kinda ugly in my opinion, Is that a pretty decent ship to go with? and If I die will I always just be able to buy back for cheap like I can with the Sidewinder or is there something specific I need to make sure I get every time like Insurance?
