Posted: 10 Nov 2019 08:21 AM PST Just outside of mail slot at Fozard, bang goes a fully loaded (with medicines lol) T9. Left station still in open, got out of system w/o getting ganked again. Dunno why not, maybe just didn't have any goodies aboard, lol. So watch yourselves out there, fellow commanders, the sociopaths are messing with CG'ers again. o7 [link] [comments]

[ENGINEERING] Arguably the best ways to farm each type of material, a Guide Posted: 10 Nov 2019 03:12 AM PST Hey there! You're probably trying to get into engineering, but were spooked by the long list of items needed for modding. Or maybe you are a veteran trying to optimize their grind? In any case, welcome to my guide. There are several ways to get what you need and this is just my take on things. I've spent hours trying to find the best farming method, but if you've found an even better way, let me know. I'd appreciate if you tried out my ways and compared them to yours before, though. Getting the exact materials you need is difficult, so the idea is to farm the highest grade mats of each type (Grade 5 for encoded and manufactured and grade 4 for raw) and then trade them for those you need. Inara.cz is a great website to track your required mats and find traders. Link it to your account with the ED Market Collector and it even updates in real time! And remember, each collected material actually yields 3 mats and sometimes you can get multiple materials when scanning data points, so the grind isn't that bad. In any case, let's get to it: MANUFACTURED: HIGH GRADE EMISSION FARMINGYou need: A collector limpet controller and about 30 limpets should be enough to fill your material stock. You need cargo space for the limpets obviously. Where: Any imperial system will do, but I like to do it between Pandemonium and LT 9863, since a trader is nearby. Why imperial? Because those systems frequently drop Imperial Shielding, while others might drop only grade 4 mats. Alternatives include: Federal systems : Core Dynamics Composites, but you'll also get lower grade Propietary Composites quite often. Any system in state of
What to do: Jump into your system and go to the Nav Beacon waypoint. Once you drop out of Supercruise there, you need to target the actual beacon itself (you will have the drop point selected, look in your contacts menu to find the physical beacon itself) and scan it. Once it is finished, go back into Supercruise. Now open your contacts menu again. All things in the system should be visible to you now, including the high grade emissions. They degrade after a while, so try to find a balance between going to the closest ones and those about to expire. Go to one, open your cargo hatch and let your limpets do the work. When you're done, cruise to the next emission. Once you got all, jump to the other system and repeat. What you get: 3-6 of Imperial Shielding or sometimes other materials (rarely lower than Grade 5) ENCODED: JAMESON CRASH SITE(If you need raw materials as well, look at that first, you can get both there) You need: A vehicle bay with at least 1 SRV. Optionally a small ship to make landing in the awful terrain easier. Where: HIP 12099, Planet 1B, Jameson Crash Site What to do: Somehow manage to land nearby and pop out with your SRV. There are 4 data nodes you can scan for encoded mats and also the ship itself for lore (but no materials). Deploy your turret (default: U) and scan them, holding right click. Once you scan all 4, log out to the Menu and log back in. Now you can scan the points again. Some might call this an exploit, but you can just jump into supercruise and land again if you woul agree. That will respawn the data as well. Pro tip: Position yourself in the rubble between all 4 data points and you can scan all of the data points without moving your SRV. Just need to turn the turret then. What you get: 4x 1-3 encoded materials, about 40% Grade 5 and 4 respectively and 20% Grade 3. RAW: CRASHED ANACONDASYou need: An SRV Bay with at least 1 SRV. Where: There are several crashed Condas but the best one is supposedly at HIP 16613, Planet 1A, Coordinates: -11.0093 / -95.6755 (Close to the SRV Wreckage waypoint, about 4.6 km towards bearing 077) What to do: Land nearby and deploy your SRV. Thank god the terrain is better here. There are 3 cargo racks with raw materials you can shoot and then scoop up with your SRV (deploy cargo scoop). Once you got all, log off and back in, they respawn. Oh, and you might get some... visitors, as in NPC ships, but don't worry, they aren't hostile unless provoked. What you get: 3 of either Antimony, Tellurium or Ruthenium, all grade 4. There are also 3 data points you can scan for 1-3x high grade Encoded data, so if you need both, you may as well do this first. ALTERNATIVELY, as mhandly pointed out, you may also farm crystal shart sites at HIP 36601. After making the long journey there, scan the planet with a Detailed Surface Scanner to find "Alien" waypoints. You can shoot the meta-alloy shaped crystal shards to force them to drop raw materials of the highest grade. ----- I hope this guide could help you. Posted: 10 Nov 2019 03:53 PM PST Ok ı have an idea 6 beam lasers with efficient weapon and expremential effects, 2 of them with thermal vent, 2 thermal shock and 2 thermal conduit. Can we make a loop ? Burn target, increase damage with thermal conduit, hold steady heat levels. [link] [comments]
