    Met a squadron full of commanders out in Upaniklis protecting traders from gankers. Upon arrival to the system, I saw a bunch of combat ships flying around. Wasn’t sure how everything was about to play out. See fellas, Open play has good guys in it too. It’s not only the bad you hear about.

    ...i was always curious if fully turreted T10 can be left in res and, well, do something nice.

    TLDR: It can.

    ​

    So, building cheap build - heaps of turretet beams, some MC once beams stop fitting, heaps of armor, 8C Biwave, shield busters and armor modules. Pretty cheap, minimal engineering too. Collector module, limpets, 50t of whatever expensive is in station.

    Oh, yeah - Gu-97 with fixed beam and dangerous rated NPC pilot. Turrets set to 'fire at will', so is SLF.

    Order of battle: Arrive to RES marker, deploy limpets, fighter, open cargo hold, wait. Three pips to shield, three pips to weapons.

    ​

    Low res: not even funny. Whatever does not die under fighter, get melted by beams pretty much stat.

    Med res: same as above, really, seen shield last ring from time to time, but that's about it.

    High Res: wings of med+ ships start to be a problem: hit too hard, if security does not aggro at them, probably would end badly.

    Interesting observations:

    - Fighters are MEAN. Gu-97 with competent+ NPC pilot just murder everything, it's like having two extra huge mounts that do not overheat.

    - Point defence is a must as NPC pirates will spam hatch breaker limpets badly. Eventually they will break hatch, all your bait will trickle away and so will collector limpets. Really is a problem in med+ RES, low rarely sees more than a single limpet.

    - God forbid collecting illegal cargo in AFK.

    - Probably can pull it off with just a fighter, that damn thing can kill anything NPC in res as long as there are no wingman. Does die under wingmen fairly fast though.

    - Income is not stellar at all, but it does grind components, combat rank, pilot skill, community goal and sometimes it is hilarious to watch.

    - T10 is more fun than most people think. Dirty Drives do help a lot. Funnily enough, corvette hauls more in both combat and hauling config.

    Recently picked up a Federal Corvette, need some weapon load out advice.

    After years of putting off the Fed grind I've finally acquired a Federal Corvette. I've made it relatively beefy at this point via engineering however I'm at a loss at what I should do for a weapon load out.

    Main goal is PVP capable. My main questions are

    What weapons and where and why? And what engineering recipes?

    Side question, burst, pulse, or beam lasers?
