The only response I could think to answer the,"so...what do you do in the game" was to hit Alt+F10

    I made it to Colonia.

Sorry, no beautiful screenshot nor witty meme, just wanted to share an awesome experience.

I just ended my two week long trip to Colonia aboard a barely engineered Krait MkII. I can't say I enjoyed every minute of it. Even with the Neutron Plotter and the stations alongside the Colonia Connection Highway, it was, at times, boring as hell, just like space can and should be. There were moments when I felt like I was just mindlessly going from neutron star to neutron star, wondering why the hell as I actually doing that.

Fortunately, there were ths sights alongside the route. A few spaceborne lifeforms, a faint sunrise above a giant's rings, faster-than-light loops between a neutron star and a blue giant, a long, nightime approach towards a small planetary outpost lost in the void, listening to 70s rock music...

But more importantly, there was the feeling of having performed an actual journey, of having actually traversed half the galaxy to reach this small isolated bubble of humanity. It felt great, and maybe the feeling of boredom at times actually worked towards this feeling.

Elite Dangerous is a messy game. It has some irritating bugs (these flickering UI elements when docked on stations almost made me mad), it is not the best game out there, but sometimes it reaches heights, and this feeling of actually achieving something resembling a real journey is one of them.

It's just a hauler, Frontier didn't have to go as hard as they. But they did, and they did it for us.

It'd be really nice if we got a small update that expanded what multi crew can take creds from

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 02:23 PM PST

from what i'm aware a very small portion of players actually use multicrew, but as someone who does it'd be nice if our copilots could either profit from exploration data/non combat/trade related activities, or take maybe a 10-20% cut of board missions, as frankly i feel more people might use multi crew more if the devs weren't such scrooges with multi crew's payouts/payout sources.

hell even if they were crappy pay outs if we could help new players/players like my brother who hates flying himself but loves the game i feel it'd be a worthwhile update..

    Radio speaker emulation?

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 01:05 PM PST

I was wondering if there is a mod plugin of sorts that I can use to make it sound like my music is being played through the ships speakers. My dream of cruising by a gas giant with Pink Floyd's "Us and Them" piping out of a crackly speaker needs to become reality.
