    Community Goal - Defence of the Galactic Summit - Federation

    The Federation is working with Sirius Corporation to offer bounty hunting opportunities to protect the diplomatic conference.

    The first Galactic Summit has officially opened at Patterson Enterprise station in the Sirius system.

    Temporary permits have been issued to all arriving delegates and Commanders for the three weeks of its term, although these do not apply to fleet carriers.

    Sirius Corporation's CEO Li Yong-Rui announced: "The data supplied to us in January revealed several unanticipated threats, putting additional strain on our navy and security forces. Working with the generous support of the Federation, we have placed bounties on all wanted ships to ensure delegates' safety. Pilots defending the Sirius system will be rewarded for handing in bounty vouchers at the Spirit of Laelaps."

    If Tier 1 is reached, the top 75% of participants will receive a permanent Sirius system permit and the Viper Mk III Acceleration White paint job.

    The top 25% will additionally receive the Viper Mk III Acceleration Gold paint job. These should be processed and accessible by the 6th of March 3307.

    Thanks to the generosity of the Federation, the top 10 participants will receive a Federal Assault Ship. The ship will be delivered and stored at Ashby City starport in the Luyten's Star system by the 6th of March 3307.

    The joint initiative will run for one week, after which Sirius Corporation will partner with the Empire to provide for the needs and security of the conference. If the final target is met earlier than planned, this phase will end immediately.

    So in Li-Yong-Rui power systems you also get an extra 15% discount, and a 2,5% if you are elite rank.

    So together you can get let say a cutter in Arjung for 25,4% cheaper aka 155mil instead of 208mil. Which also means 25,4% less rebuy price (around 2,25mil less for cutter). I just tested it and re-bought my cutter and a new one.

    Odyssey Plot Speculation

    According to the GalNet article today the Galactic Summit is supposed to begin today. My thought is that Odyssey was originally supposed to launch between now and about 3 weeks (based on summit length). Yes, it's been delayed, but I think it will still work out.

    Anyway, here's the tinfoil hat part:

    The galactic summit will be disrupted at a minimum, with a possibility of assassination of at least one or maybe more of the Powerplay Leaders at the summit. The blame would likely be laid against Jupiter Rochester and his breakaway Jupiter Division, having already started shooting back at the Federation in their star system.

    In the turmoil and distrust caused by the attack the Superpowers will look for a way to start fighting on the ground. In desperation and out of mutual distrust of the other Superpowers, each will reach out to the only truly "neutral" authority in the Bubble - the Pilot's Federation.

    I'm expecting that eventually there will be some planetary shootouts with Jupiter Division or whoever Frontier decides to paint as the antagonists. JD seems likely at this point given the breakaway plot via GalNet and events in-game, but it will probably grow to encompass multiple megacorps chaffing at Superpower rule (Sirius anyone?).

    Ok. Enough tinfoil conspiracy theory for now.

    Does anyone have a image of the Elite Dangerous galaxy map overlayed with the Mass Effect galaxy map with the homeworld systems of the Turians,Asari and Salarians matched approximately with the corresponding systems in Elite Dangerous?

    Because I want to visit those systems even though both franchises are separate universes
