After seeing so many different and inspiring Elite-Fanart, i have now finished my own Elite Dangerous Diorama :) The Vette is a 3D print and buildings/vehicles/landinggears are made from polystyrene. The underground was formed with plaster, but stones are made from styrofoam.

Apex Shuttles Appear to be Going Full Throttle...

    Posted:

I just tested the travel times between Hopkins City and Huygens Enterprise in both Odyssey and in the main game, and the times were nearly identical (12:16 in my own Hauler, 12:17 via Apex shuttle, low-wake to low-wake), so our Spuber drivers appear to be going full throttle.

If they were using 3/4 throttle as many of us (including yours truly) feared, that transit time would be closer to 16 minutes, if not longer. I originally expected that even if the shuttle flew with the pedal to the metal it'd still wind up being a little longer; I didn't expect that the two times would come that close. I'll probably try a few other routes when I have time later, but it looks like our friendly neighbourhood taxi drivers are pulling out all the stops.

After 6 months playing Elite I have finally (and nervously) decided to enter the heady world of combat with a nice little starter. All NPC's should fear the fiery wrath of.......Don Fluffles!!

Mission critical items should NEVER be stored on a taxi, change my mind.

It is utterly frustrating to jump of an apex shuttle to see "You are missing a mission critical item" and the apex shuttle just flies away...
You can argue: "but its more realistic to have it stored in ship cargo", but that's it. And I would gladly sacrifice THIS part of realism for a better gaming experience. My character can automatically board a ship and store the item there, then he definitely can also get the item back when disembarking.

    Thoughts?

Though not as accurate as the Takada laser assault rifle, the Takada laser SMG makes up for that with a greater clip size and amounts of rounds per second.
